no other way communicate the material and overall O Connor and Seymour do a brilliant job If you don t mind touchy feely new age writing and I have to say usually of US origin there are other books out there that cover similar The Puppet Wrangler ground but for me this isood old fashioned no nonsense information delivery that is comprehensive and entertainingI cannot recommend it highly enough This book is exactly what it promises to be an introduction to neurolinguistic programming NLP The first chapter ives a brief background of the two authors Joseph O Connor and John Seymour and then a history of NLP as well as a description of what it is The next four chapters are about us internally how we think how language represents our thoughts and how our states of mind affect our beliefs Then the authors et into how we can change ourselves for the better starting with how we use language in expressing our beliefs and how changing the words we use can change our beliefs The book progresses into explaining patterns and systems that we can use to become the persons we want to be While most of this book is about using NLP to help affect changes within ourselves Chapter 6 does briefly discuss how we can use our language to help others access their unconscious thoughts though there is nothing about how to plant thoughts in someone s subconscious mindI actually found the Epilogue to be the most interesting part of the book although I m not sure it really fits with the rest of the book The Epilogue starts with a discussion about learning and how we learn but then Secrets Of The Oasis goes into a talk aboutlobal warming and then to the transformation of scientific process The authors do try to link this all to NLP but I m not sure it worked at least not for me this book will Heirloom 1960 1995 Family Femdom Book 2 give you an excellent Idea about NLP and its written in nice and interesting wayBut why did Iive it 2 out of 5 That s my evaluation of the concept As NLP is just collection methodology from other sciences that been collected together for trade show and the book will Some people appear Pow Wows gifted than others NLP one of the fastestrowing developments in applied psychology describes in simple terms what they do differently and enables you to learn these patterns of excellence This approach ives. ,Simply No Other Way
Joseph OConnor ß 7 charactersEight is about psychotherapy it explains the phobia cure swish pattern internal conflict resolution and the like And chapter nine is dedicated to modeling I read this book on a whim and over a fair few months It started out just as a means of passing time but as I read it I ot and invested and interested by itNLP is psychology but it is far from the days of pigeonholing people It is very much based on
people who excel at particular things and in fact NLP is a model of three very effective therapists Virginia State Milton Erikson and Fritz Perls This means that NLP deals with how we perceive reality how we think communication Brilla Mar Del Edn goal setting and accelerated learning and that it has very practical applications such as learning sellingbusiness and psychotherapy Results are what count and instead of problems it focuses is on outcomes the whys are much less important than the desired result and this differs substantially from traditional psychology and psychotherapyI found the book very enjoyable and extremely interesting It has reduced conflict in my life because I now appreciate the importance of rapport and the importance of framing reality in a positive way I was an armchair Freudian and I now know how analysing othersets one no where I lead by example instead of nagging from behind It has also confirmed how subjective everyone is and towards the end of the book the so called "objectivity of science was tackled under the light of the psychology of perception And I especially enjoyed the chapter "of science was tackled under the light of the psychology of perception And I especially enjoyed the chapter hypnosis too because it often Bibliotheca Anatomica Qua Scripta Ad Anatomen Et Physiologiam Facientia A Rerum Initiis Recensentur Vol 2 gets sensationalised by the media so I enjoyed learning how it works and what Erikson s intentions were when he used it in psychotherapy I now want to do a course in NLP This book has changed my life for the better I have applied the techniues and made note of the things I can do when other phobias and blockages and barriers arise as threats to my present and future happiness and I feel much better and much positive about my ability to handle life and selfI was even inspired to use the knowledge in this book to help friends and family it s such a wonderful useful and helpful resource that the methods can be used anywhere and at any time at the drop of a hat whatever that meansSo now that I m whole again I canet back to life againBut seriously this book if you can I Married A Soldier get into it and persevere with it cause it ain t such an easy read there s just soooo much to absorb will enable you to make changes in the way you see life and the world and you will inevitably be a better person for itJust do it This book was recommended by Neil StraussIt is a textbook with what I felt were limited practical examplesGiven that NLP is about modelling excellence I feel the writers could have modelled some engaging authors in order to explain their subjectI am familiar with NLP and looking for a practicaluide to implement it into my life rather than a very dry textbookI don t think this book would be of much use to a total beginner as I can t see someone finishing the book without any reply benefit to them except at the end when further tapes books or courses are recommendedPerhaps I am just used to personal development books that have practical applications that can be implemented immediately while reading the book This book may work for some but not me I m not so sure whether NLP is just a systemized and scientifically backed approach to psychotherapy or a random collection of tactics thatmodelling people who excel at particular things and in fact NLP
maybe could theoretically and so on improve something I do not know aboutBut after all I cancould theoretically and so on improve something I do not know aboutBut after all I can blame a book for the topic it deals with and I have to say that this is all in all uite a ood introduction to NLP There are parts when you say to yourself I would have liked to know about this or Why does this work but I think that is just an aspect one has to accept when reading an introduction to such a wide topic. Tion and business Introducing NLP includes How to create rapport with others Influencing skills Understanding and using body language How to think about and achieve the results you want Effective meetings negotiations and selling. .

a name for business purpose I didn t really know what NLP was about when I firstname for business purpose I didn t really know what NLP was about when I first this I was happy to learn that language itself is at the heart of everything we do internally and externally from our perceptions of ourselves and how our self talk either limits our potential or expands it to how we speak to others in our lives from relationships to negotiations The material was really intricate and it will definitely reuire practice and revisiting in order to fully understand the concepts and techniues but definitely worth it I m beginning to see a very similar pattern in all of the books that I read so I think it s a Henri Matisse good sign that a lot of the material is becoming redundant This was a clearly written introduction to the topics which NLP covers It has very basic and concise description of each topic for example Rapport was described in two pagesFairly short amount of detailiven to each
Topic So I WouldSo I would recommend this book for a beginner who has no idea what NLP is and wants to find out The back of the book consists of other NLP resources and books that one can look for to further their knowledge and improve the skills I will The Versatile Border Collie give an overview on what information is included in each chapter So it is easier to decide whether not not toet the product and what the product is about including my own experience with the bookThe first chapter ives a fair introduction on what exactly NLP is the development of NLP in the 1970s This is a very brief introduction although the main points are covered The extent of the information is not meticulous but rather broad The the discussion continues with Maps and Filters and the Basic behavioral frames such as orientation toward how rather than why feedback versus failure and considering the possibilities rather then necessities The authors also talk about learning and they briefly overview the stages that o from unconscious incompetence to unconscious competence Then the discussion of outcomes rapport communication and pacing and leading are discussedNow the impressions of the first chapter is that it is very similar to the book the Secret in a sense that while practicing NLP you need to concentrate on what you want and to frame your thoughts in the positive rather then the negative Another concern was that one reviewer said that NLP is pseudoscience which is not true the authors throughout use sources of scientific studies to back their claims NLP is used by competent people especially who are successful in business I apply a lot of the techniues to my life and it works that is why I highly recommend this bookChapter two deals with perceptions and how a different view of perception shapes us The authors further elaborate on the use of language and representational systems Chapter three introduces anchors and the use of anchors to solve issues creating anchors and collapsing them Again this is uite brief it is not an in depth analysisChapter four mainly deals with Robert Dilt s unified field of NLP which is applied to problem solving and changing behavior Chapter five is on words and the meaning that we ive them Surface and Deep structure is contrasted And the elements of the Meta Model are introducedChapter six deals with #TIME THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN UPTIME WHEN # the difference between uptime when tune senses to the outer world and downtimewhen we o into ourselves such as visualizing and fantasizing Time lines are covered with the emphasis of in time and through time time lines Chapter seven is about finding balance through congruence which ives us strength and personal power Identifying when we are in congruence and we are not is offered Criteria and values are introduced Chapter.
