doc Å text The Taking of Peggy MartinFree ☆ businesscurrency The Taking of Peggy MartinI received this book free in exchange for an honest review I never start a book thinking that I won't like it However I started to dislike this one from almost the very beginning I did not like the first person POV or the flowery language used It seemed insincere and repetitive at times The characters didn't have a lot of depth For a book with such heavy themes and plot points I expected uite a bit of insight and I just didn't get thatIn the end I found the book confusing and frustating I just did not like it

doc Å text The Taking of Peggy MartinFree ☆ businesscurrency The Taking of Peggy MartinI was given a copy of this book for an honest review However I would give it an honest review regardless This book has been the most engaging book I have read in a long time The creative and clever descent into madness didn’t seem insane at all I would call this the Twilight series of the 1950’s but it really is a commentary on mental illness I grew up in the Bible Belt of Texas and remember my father telling me that when he heard my granny whistling “The Old Rugged Cross” he knew to go and hide because someone’s butt was about to be whooped It was black and white with no in between Many of the expressions used in this book are reminiscent of my dear old granny The dialect is also accurate for East Texas I loved the way the author incorporated local legend into the story as well I remember as a child being scared to death of the legend of Boggy Creek Even though I know it’s not real I won’t spend the night a
